Artificial Intelligence has the ability to transform business and empower people. As a society, we are leveraging the increasing capabilities of AI to improve lives. However, with the multitude of people being impacted, we need to ensure the AI we create is inclusive and fairly representative. Unfortunately, this is not always the case and biases exist in deployed AI systems. To promote a fairer and more democratised AI playground, we have a talk and a discussion session speaking on the current issues and potential solutions to increase diversity in AI.

Renée Cummings is a criminologist who specialises in ethical AI, algorithmic authenticity and accountability, data integrity and equity, diversity and inclusion and AI policy and governance. She’s also a Columbia University Community Scholar.

Regina Huber is a transformational leadership coach and consultant for inclusive diversity, international inspirational speaker and author of a D&I white paper, who brings a multi-cultural background on five continents.
