We've expanded the topic range of the meetup to include anything "future tech" such as IoT, VR/AR, Game development, Cloud, etc. We're also trying to include a lightning talk at each event exclusively for new presenters to help encourage more people to share their work and gain experience speaking and interacting with the community. So get in touch to speak 💯

🗓Agenda ‣ Welcome and News in AI ‣ Creating a Convolutional Neural Network to Play a Racing Game by André Odendaal ‣ Lean Coffee Discussion
🚗Creating a Convolutional Neural Network to Play a Racing Game by André Odendaal This talk will cover the dependencies I used, the implementation plan and the deep learning algorithm for creating a model that successfully plays a racing game. Also covered are the lessons learned, resources I used for self-study and the aspirations for changes I want to make to the project. It’s been an exciting journey and I want to share my experience so others can benefit. Knowledge of Python would be beneficial but is non-essential.
💬AI Lean Coffee by Rishal Hurbans AI Lean Coffee is a structured discussion about AI. We will gather, and build an agenda, and begin talking. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting is democratically generated.
🎤André Odendaal Andre is a mentor at a software development internship programme and is a hobbyist game developer. He has a Masters degree in Software Engineering and over 20 years experience as a software developer. He loves figuring out new technologies and is passionate about creating learning experiences.
